Chocco I like it when you revert to posting like a normal person lol.

However, your rhetoric still needs reflection because its obvious that the election at this point is still likely to be a close one and doesnt quite reflect the shambles you portray.

Its good to hear you are productively employed as we need people that are productive. Its good for ones well being and soul also.

Australia is currently a country with low comparative unemployment when much of the world is in crisis. We have interest rates at less than half the rate when Howard left office, a boon for mortgage holders. Home prices are also down so good for the young wanting to buy a home and start a family. There is always much that is good around if one removes the rose coloured political glasses.

The process of fear and smear and trawling back decades to do so is what has brought the political debate down to gutter level. Frankly if I thought that the fear and smear would stop if Gillard were replaced I would be encouraging that to happen. However, I have no doubt that the same approach would be taken with whomever were to replace her. After all look at what some here along with the nut job bloggers on the internet say about even Malcolm Turnbull, a Liberal.

If the public switches off the smear, then the election imo will be very close. I believe the situation is both fluid and volatile and anything can happen. No matter what we say here leaders can and will change should MPs believe it will enhance their chances. Both sides of politics contrary to what they publicly say will all be watching the polling like hawks or maybe even eagles lol. Im just a retired oldie so its all academic to me. I have great confidence in our democracy and whoever wins the election I will be more than comfortable with it. The voice of the people must always prevail.

    cheers
