It may help the nervous nellies to see that the online version of 'The Weekend Australian' (8-9th Dec 12) has a story in the business section titled: "US shale boom raises local hopes" and right at the top of the story, two photos come up. One of the major players buying into the Aussie shale gas story and up in the Canning Basin, FMG is listed as investing Aud$ 14.2 million.
An unrelated story over on NSE, posted by Anatol at 0220hr on 8th Dec 12 (post no: 8867776) talks about the possible takeover of PFC's stake in the Georgina Basin, NT (also plenty of posts appearing on BKP on this developing story). Interestingly for us, Anatol is listing OBL as one of the junior players. He is not saying, from what i read, that OBL are looking at it but when you think about the FMG / OBL partnership, anything is possible.
