Media play their pranks as entertainment to make money. Nothing wrong with that except that like all things media reach out to many and they need to be aware of the consequences that could arise from their actions and dont go down that road if they perceive risks. I am not a fan of pranks that intrude on privacy or intended to show up someone but having said that I can understand Kaunas point that the main issue here is that the actions that subsequently arose from the stupid prank has had terrible unintended consequences.

Pointing fingers doesnt really help the situation, particularly when we are not privy to all the facts.

The greatest duty of care for a nurse in performing their duties rests with the employer. I dont know what occurred in this instance but the tragedy is clear. A life has been lost, children deprived of their parent. All those involved will no doubt reflect on what has happened and do their own soul searching. From the perpetuation of the prank right through to the tragic outcome. It is just so sad when tragedy appears to have occurred due to something not really necessary. The outcome arising from a prank.

My prayers are with the person concerned and their families.
