Thanks for that info Mapreader! It appears to me that Japan's policy is to keep their "Energy transition" as Domestic as possible (i.e. Panasonic ENE-farm etc.) This is not unusual for Japan. Japan imports around 98% of it's Energy requirements and it certainly needs to increase it's Energy Efficiency across all sectors of it's Society AND economy. No doubt the Japanese Gov't is well aware of this.

I think the Japanese Gov't wants to utilise Japanese companies / Labour as much as possible.

The Japanese are not silly. They understand the benefits of Decentralised Energy. I just think they're going to try & achieve it on their own?...
