Residential assets are out of favour at the moment.

Still, GPT trades around its NAV, while the residential housebuilders at more than a 70% discount, so you pays your money and takes your choice.
In theory the shares of a housebuilder should be a lead indicator of any future recovery ( or even stabilisation) in residential volumes, plus if prices ever do increase again, you get a kicker to NAV.
