can remember watching land of the giants, land of the lost, puf'n'stuf, lost in space (seem to recall that was black & white - unless that was because we didn't have a colour tv set then) and the forbidden planet
the magic roundabout vision on clutch cargo
favourite vid game (still) is defender and stargate i can remember one guy was really good at it, he could clock it, often the screen would be full of baiters and he would be nailing them. sometimes he would get you to take over, while he had a quick munch or drink
if you download mame32 and a bios, then you can also download these roms (games) and stick them in the rom folder. i was a bit surprised at how small these games are. for defender: use x=up spacebar=down keypad(2=thrust 3=fire 0=change direction)
on the subject of physical ageing, remembrance of former things this is a sign to pull finger we naturally often identify ourselves as physical form and spend many years cementing it identification with physical form (and much mental form) creates suffering when the body is young, fit and healthy, there is often little motivation to dis-identify with it, when it gets older it speaks louder to us, and it's pains and aches require a lot more effort to confront. as a result lot of folk take the option of trying to appease it (not to mention various problematic metal tendancies) with alcohol, pills or other distractions, but this causes even more problems, one of which, imo, is recycle. can't say i'd be too stoked about being born in syria or palestine blah blah blah etc (note to self)
with regard to this subject title, the movie, koyaanisqatsi can be a worthwhile watch, if the mind is watched at the same time.
