If I borrowed $1000 in US when AUD was 80c...then I would need approx $1200 AUD to make an equiv. $US amount.
However now that the AUD is stronger, I only need to pay back about $980AUD to pay back the $1000 USD........I'm 20% better off...this is how foreign currency exchange works......you obviously beleive their spin.
