As for iron ore you are partly correct its just that lulea has a draft and
length restriction which doesn't take the larger ships plus lulea is not
always ice free and even if no ice in port requires ice breakers to get
there. Mark Thompson need to go to Sweden in Winter I think.
This is not some sunny outback spot where you lick abit of water
whilst your hair smelt.
Northland is on track to start export in 2013 and LKAB is building a
new terminal at Narvik including upgrading the railway link from
Sweden to Narvik and will move part of Kiruna to accomodate new
mines. LKAB has already drilling at TLG iron ore prospects and was
not interested. What chance do you think TLG has on their iron ore ?
