Howdy Conan - read any books lately. Now grab a coffee and a kingston. How many times have I heard that old "how can you apply technicals to speccys". I am by nature a man of mathematics and science,I dont believe in God, crystal balls, crop circles, chiropractors or any shizzle that cant be supported with "approved mathmetics" from universities specializing in training ststistician and mathematicians.

Have you heard of the Pioneer of Chaos mathematics "Lorenz". Basically in chaotic systems such as stock markets and ant colonies, there are patterns in withinside the chaos (see the "Lorenz attractor" or you may know it by its slang term as "the butterfly effect"). Anyway, alorithms "HELP/ASSIST" you to pull some kind of order out of chaotic systems (and speccys can be chaotic). Hence smoothing price with MAs etc.

If you are into maths, there are all kinds of noodle heads using it to make money with complex algorithms ranging from card counting at casinos to insurance companies and banks and FOREX. Some of my algorithms are from noodle head statisticians in the states, who have been perfecting their use in the market of 20 odd years. One I use is called an RT Kicker. But if you aint into maths then its all just fuzz. I suggest that probably some REALLY HIGH END groups can maipulate markets using algoritms and I am becoming more convinced that HFT specialist know exactly what they are doing with their high freqency robots. Remember you dont need to win em all to make money.

The high end Mathematics scene is an "in crowd". If folks have a system, they probably dont share it outside the group if it is making them serious coin on the down low.

Now look, everything can be boiled down to some form of number system ranging from the completly random, somehwhat random, to completly static or completely cyclical. So basically even in speccys there is some kind of trend.

When I saw the IDC move below its upper 1 SD bollinger on a 100 period with a falling RT Kicker, then the stock is trending down. REGARDLESS OF THE FUNDAMENTALS WHICH NEVER CHANGED AND IN FACT GOT BETTER. I dont know why and I dont care, its just moving down for what ever reason. I thought appears 11.5c will be the dip, but when it increased I am now looking 10c and if it continues I will look at 8.1c.

Now I can't predict if an announcemnt tommorrow will say 1000 grams au per ton. But thats tommorrow. Today is today.

The data indicates that if you get in at 10c then that appears ok. But I dont think 8.1c or 8.5c 5c is impossible, albeit 5c is unlikely But I couldimagine a drop of 40% from cap raising prices.

If it starts moving up then I might be forced to buy in at 12 and thats ok, rather be buying higher on a rising stock than catch the falling knife.

Heres the thing, you never know if some guy looking to turn 2.5 mill into 10 mill hasnt gone over to PNG to sniff around on the ground and get the oil, only to find out that in his opinion his 2.5 aint turning into 10 at Mt Kare due to his interpretation of landowner BS and goings on. That could be the true reason for the selloff, you'll never really know. Folks with cash do this type of stuff. Maybe the Captain speculates that their is some "friggin in the riggin"

But regardless, for whatever reason the stock is being sold off, sure someone is buying it, but they are paying lower and lower prices.

Dont get me wrong its an exciting stock, but like I said, I was basically out at 16c, in at 11.5c and back out at 11. The numbers are not stacking up for me today.

Anyway, who wants to hold a speccy over xmas break unless I get it at a bargain. I am sick of looking at the market and charts. I want to go and catch a few waves, go camping, and enjoy the coin I have made this year. Got a new surfboard, bike, car, fishing gear, diving watch, PS3, paid a heap of the mortgage. I'll make more coins next year.
