You do have a point.
What is wonderful about one's life is relative to what others had before. It is the comparison and a matter of interpretation of what was then and what is now.
For me, personally, in my quiet moments, I wish our world is less complicated.
In our human's history, we have always had conflicts: conflicts of culture, conflicts of religions, neighbor's quarrels. This has not changed, despite the supposedly advancements humans have achieved.
I feel deeply sorry and sad about the growing list of extinctions of animals who were once amongst us.
This is off topic: have you been to China, not just in the physical sense, but also in the sense of wanting to know the country ? For many non Chinese speaking people, China and her history are still as foreign as they were before.
