But before you go there, just wanted to show you something with the cotton growers that you mentioned, using the same style of fear and ignorance that Greenies and LtG have been used to discredit anything other than their own ideological beliefs.

Here we go..

How dare those cotton farmers draining our precious river, AND sucking our GAB dry. The energy, chemical, land and resource intensive cotton industry takes up so much of productive land, sends the cotton to CHINA. All for Chinese profit!

There are no jobs available in cotton industry for local people as they bring in foreign workers, this is raping our precious land and water for the sake of cheap clothing from China.... You can't eat cotton, can't drink profit. Why isn't the Government doing anything of listening to us?

87% voted they do not support cotton industry in our region. But don't tell the Mayor a different outcome could have been generated from a more appropriate question such as:

"Do you support responsible cotton farming in Fairyland?"
