gh, I don't know which one eyed intern put that chart together, but real growth in the underlying mean trend of electricity demand in Australia was zero on/about Dec2007, and has been steadily negative since then. That makes it lead the emissions reductions downwards.
Not sure how you can argue differently. The national demand trend is very clear .... if I was to use a standard long period SMA, I could change the demand peak to well beyond reality. The longer the SMA used, the longer the delay, the trick is extracting the geometric centerline of the true trend.
I'm more than satisfied to maintain my statements without correction. I show the actual demand trend with far greater accuracy.
