the further north you dgo in WA generally the higher the money, the longer the roster, the higher the money, fitters/mechanics down in forestania WA were only getting $350 a day when i was there around 2 years ago, up near newman i made over $4000 working the 4 days over easter this year, yeah money is great up there, im off to port hedland in january, moneys even better There is a labour shortage, someone posted bout companies not wanting to train, DEAD RIGHT, i got ticketed and couldn't get work, you need to know someone simple as that, people said it to me. i didn't believe them until i got up there, i did a number of years in perth, getting my experience and still couldnt get up there, someone i knew got me up there, now i have my foot in the door, i get harassed 2-3 times a week to work for companies up there, i tell them im not interested, they call me back 2 weeks later asking again
