Even if someone would take on a class action it's too easy to prove 'other factors'.
You can take just about any loss mentioned on HC and generally find perfectly good reasons, technical or fundamental, as to why a trade/investment went wrong. I doubt anyone would be prepared to take it on. Proving loss as a result of any type of HFT is a hard ask (despite the certainty among posters). With the exception of errors, which are generally reversed anyway, there are too many more logical reasons as to why a loss occurs.
