Yes perhaps GCL could indeed buy before they ink the deal to take on some cheap pre-deal shares. Not sure what the insider trading laws are in HK when dealing with overseas sharemarkets and we just dont know who Credit Suisse client is. They could use the HK branch to make you think it is GCL when it is RA. Or it could be GCL doing a dodgy or a completely different buyer.

As for Roman not having heard of Linc Energy in August, please think about it. He bought a substantial investment via new share issue into AFC in early October. He would not have made that decision on a whim in a few days or weeks, that kind of negotiation would have taken months and involved board level negotiation to put it together. Linc was a major holder and also has a board seat on AFC so would have had first hand dealings with him and a few long lunches in London no doubt.

Russian oil production is plateauing and will be in decline within the decade. Abramovich knows it.

We dont know who the buyer is at this stage but its a great time to be a holder in Linc eh Dan. :)
