Well we have done everything we can including putting a solar system on the roof (Capital value is now half of what is was when we installed it), put up a solar water heater (needed a new hot water tank anyway), changed all the bulbs to those crappy 'energy efficient' bulbs, changed one desktop to a laptop, got rid of the old TV, switch everything not in use at switch such as the TV, Internet Router, and computers................and
the bills are still too much.
Why?
Two reasons:
1. Supply charges are ridiculous for both gas and electricity.
2. When the sun doesn't shine it makes all that 'green energy' equipment useless.
And reason number two dear folks is why solar electricity and solar hot water will never entirely replace base load supply for a long, long time.
