it makes sense, but I cannot see it happening - and I am not sure why I say I cannot see it happening?

a merger of SXY and BPT would create a pretty powerful company. Just imagine if it were BPT, SXY and DLS!

think of the revenue, reserves and unconventional potential.

they could combine to buy or contract drill rigs, they could combine to buy or contract fraccing rigs/spreads and personnel on L/T contracts, and biggest of all imho, combine to develop their unconventional resources.

someone recently told me that the Moomba faciltiy owned by Santos (100% ??) is worth $8 Billion to replace. and they said basically everything in C/B has to go through Moomba.

So Santos calls the shots.

But I wonder if you had a combined force of BPT/SXY/DLS whether that would be of sufficient size to develop infrastrucure to compete with STO Moomba??
