I hear what you say Montec, as I too have long heard the TS possibilities and believed in the TS dream! But in fairness to Needle, the fact that the treaty expires in feb 2013 and that all other propositions are either cost prohibitive (floating, Darwin) or startegically folly (process on Timor) it does make the TS solution appear very neat indeed. It is demonstrated to be compelling economically, has approvals in place (unlike WPL's massive headwinds with Browse) and can be established quickly, with customers quickly lined up to beat the rush of US shale gas that will threaten to steal our valuable Asian customers (see recent editorial in the NY Times advocating the exporting of US gas). WPL's vs ENI to partner MEO at TS - wouldn't that be worth the 6 year wait?
