pretty interesting, i thought short positions might have been starting to unwind, last weel total % shorts went down to below 20%. This week (as of mon on asic website) its bounced back up to over 24%. I guess that explains the relative underperformance.
Anyone think a strong short squeeze is still possible if JBH has a half decent christmas? I'm wondering what their average entry point is...
Is JBH being used as a proxy for consumer sentiment or maybe a hedge for the broader market for some people?
i strongly see why this was shorted when p/e's were quite high, just dont get it as much these days now that its returned to a reasonably good value. I guess many people have strong and unshakable views of the role of online?
i guess the next trading update after christmas will be interesting :)
