The power station submittion was put in over 6 years ago to my knowledge to cater for peak demand. It's only business sense that as part of a review that if demand isn't there for power that any power station be scaled back. Solar may play a part but it won't be the only underlying factor.
Back on the business sense strategy it becomes clear that providing gas to business is more commercially viable then a power station at least in the short-medium term with Local businesses.... yes it's local businesses employing local people are currently paying $25/GJ for LPG and $35/GJ.
