One thing I've learned is that rich media moguls aren't a guarantee that consumer demand for a service will be there. Throwing money at problems does not always fix them.

It's only a matter of time. Netflix can't be kept out of Australia forever. And thanks to economies of scope and scale Netflix can compete at far lower costs than Quickflix.
I just know I wouldn't want to be holding QFX when news breaks that Netflix are coming to Australia. Will it happen in 2013? 2014? Maybe they can be kept out forever?
Those kind of questions are why I cannot convince myself to take a position, even at these prices.
