You will need to complete a form and send to the company etc with a cheque to convert into an ordinary shares, it may take up to few weeks and the SP may drop below the exercised SP when it is on your register.
You will need to consider this risk .. Company can make some nice ANN to push up the SP above the exercise price just before the expiry date... I have seen it before ..and that is why some options looks cheap ..
