Quantas is an interesting case. the 2006 bid by APA valued QAN at $11 Billion was voted against. Todays market cap is around $3 Billion. It was a bad move not to take the Boards recommendation.
Had they voted it through, the cap value was FOUR times more than it is now. I am glad that this was raised as it is a good example of so called experts voting against those who are on the ground.
A great example of wanting more when the outlook was for future difficulty but the archair experts got greedy.
