RE: fiscal cliff chatter. I fear there has been a built up of complacency towards this type of event (read: Eurozone) over the past few years, and now everyone is just conditioned into thinking all will end well, somehow. The last thing people are expecting right now is for the US debt condition to topple over into a catastrophe over the coming few weeks.
I remember the exact opposite market sentiment heading towards the milestone German intervention into the Euro mess earlier in the year.
Just remember that the herd often get it wrong. I would not be surprised if there is a bit of a hiccup over the coming week.
