You response to me was a classic non-answer like many of yours are. If you are upset that I don't swallow your response because it is arrant nonsense don't be upset with me. How about you more carefully consider your response!?
Your non-answer is clearly a leftist lot of nonsense. You responded regarding the interest component in what can only be described as pathetic way. What about the foreign debt, not just the interest on the foreign borrowings? How about being substantive. How about considering that at the current rate it can never happen?
The former PM said that the then government couldn't rely on the mining boom. It seems neither could the Rudd government, nor the Gillard government. They were/are so profligate that the structural outlays will cripple the nation until something changes.
It is not a matter of me not wanting answers. It is a matter of me wanting sensible, clear and insightful answers. For you to respond the way you did and then when I criticise your response you seek to criticise me is reminiscent of typical leftist behaviour. Of course, you will say that is partisan, that I am a biased. What I don't understand is why leftists like you overlook the galringly obvious and seek to insult as if you are intellectually superior. You act as if things can be done easily. AS if soultions are everywhere, just take your pick.
Sadly, the real world is not as easy a ride as that. One day, your actions will have consequences. You can spend taxpayers money all you like for as long as you want, but the principles are the same whether you are running a household or government. You can't keep spending without the debt having to be repaid. If you can afford the interest bill and keep afloat, that interest money is diverted from productive areas to unproductive areas.
It can't be said that we have foreign borrowings funding major port works, road infrastructure etc. It is all consumption on unproductive and useless ends. You might be happy to continue down that path, but I am not. When I read people like you trying to sandbag nonsense with more nonsense it cannot go uncommented, and that is all i have done.
As for your further insult, I don't want pats on my back, I just want some truth and reason. Is that too much to ask?
