Hi Kerbey, excellent post. Hadn't noticed you here before but I think you've summed up pretty well what TA is really all about, regardless of the different tools and methodologies traders might use.

One thing I'll add though to your 2nd last paragraph on stops and entry points is that I consider Lynas to have too many traders involved to have a stable or predictable share price. That is too many are trying to get in or out of the stock at the same technical points, creating vacuums which makes it very difficult to trade.

The low of the current weekly descending triangle pattern has been getting slightly lower each time, so I suspect it will break lower. However, there's also a high probablitity that all the traders here have seen this pattern and set stops just below $0.55 and will all be trying to exit at the same time!. That creates the bursts of volatility we've seen in LYC where it cascades down through the stops and so creates too much execution risk, trying to get in and out where you want.

Good luck with your trading, but I found this is one stock where short term trading is probably too hard and the medium term positions and even long-term FA targets might end up being more successful
