Hi Biggles and all,

I very much doubt that Dub would ban you from this site no more than if you worked for me I could bring myself to sack you. In my opinion you are a class act and completely sackless! Please the poor fellow me, martyr to the cause image just does not suit you.

I dare say you could one day be right and the Gold price will find its true and real value; however, I dare say you and I would have different interpretations on that value as measured by paper dollars printed out of fresh air to buy dodgy mortgage paper from shonky banks stuffed to the gills with them!

Once the gold graph starts to look like the one of the amount of dollars printed out of fresh air then you may be right to say we are seeing a secular bull market for Gold.

With respect I put forward a few indicators that we may see to indicate the end of the current Gold Bull Run.

1: The end to massive paper money printed out of fresh air in all major economies.

2: Interest rates around 10% or more to encourage real savings.

3: Banks’ lending to companies to create real productive goods and jobs.

4: Government numbers and statistics that are true and believable by the wider public.

5: Names like Ben Bernanke and Tim Geithner are no longer on the front page or lead stories on TV.

6: Young people are able to find good paying jobs in a growing sustainable economy and home ownership becomes a real possibility and not just a hopeless dream.

7: People start to take pride in living within their means and understand that doing so is not called austerity; they are content with one or two wide screens and spend time in their gardens growing a few lettuces and tomatoes. They spend time as a family and eat their meals at the table together and actually talk to each other and junior’s time on the X-box is limited to an hour or so.

Of course there will be many more positive indicators to say the world has turned away from eating itself from within with corrosive and ever growing debt and sanity looks at last to be returning to everyday life.

This will give this little black duck plenty of time to sell his Gold and buy some arable land in the mountains behind the Sunshine coast and live life at a slower pace enjoying my fishing and car driving as is my wont. By the way I found an old leather flying helmet and mark nine goggles for use in my replica SS-100 that and my white silk scarf and even you would be impressed!

Now if you oh! Great one with your predictive powers and wisdom can give me an accurate date for when I can expect the above to commence I will be eternally grateful. Until then if it’s OK with you I will continue to protect my future purchasing power with physical Gold and Silver.

By the way as long as I’m here I must apologise to you and Timber for my arrogance the other day it was mean spirited of me and out of character. Humility is something we should all not forget. Yesterday in New York I gave my new friend a set of guitar strings, a small camping stove, pan and some cans of soup. My reward a rendition of George Benson’s Broadway that left a lump in my throat!
