I am not sure about the professional boxer bit (deffinately an amature) but that based on the reports would have made very little difference.
The defence case was based around the bouncers were out number by an out of control crowd and the bouncer acted out of fear for his own safety.
In that instance what training the bouncer may or may not have had would be of little relevance, even professional boxer are allowed to protect themselves
