unsupervised capitalism will lead to slavery of a nation when capital will hold to random the well beings of a nation's people. Capital will be free to do whatever it likes and wants. That will not be healthy for a democracy.

Definitely not capitalism or politicians. It is the people who should define and decide what a "free society" is in the free expressions of their will in a democratic election.
A majority of the people of Australia in 2007 and 2010 decided that Labor should be in allowed to govern this country. Why are the conservatives not prepared to accept the will of the people ?
To the conservatives, it seems to be it is only a "free society" when is them who are in government.
