Moral implications aside for the moment at least homosexuality entails an action between 2 fully informed and consenting adults. There's no possible way that pedophilia can be legitimate, ever, nor should it.

They SHOULD have fear of punishment, and SEVERE punishment IF they have committed the crime.
Most people (IMO)would support people who are messed up in this way getting the help they need BEFORE they screw up the lives of some innocent children.

There's only one thing we CAN do about it: Be the change you want to see in the world, if enough of the people who protest against the evil of others can get their own evils in check then the world will start to turn around. The whole history of the planet however tells us that that it wont because not enough people want it to.
