Turning in to a real dogfight. With talk of VOIP gaining wider acceptance and internet connections over power lines Telstra is slowly but surely losing its monopoly in the marketplace.
Technology will slowly destroy Telstras once impenetrable monopoly position.
Get out while you can. The special divvy means nothing now.
Alternatively use capital protected positions in Telstra and divvy strip them using the franked divvies and interest component on any loan to reduce your tax position. As mentioned, only recommended for capital protected loans.
