Thanks for those references. I was aware that RA had been a Governor of one of the Russian States but not Chukotka where the proposed JV with BHP is situated.
You outline a very convincing case for RA to have a JV with LNC to produce power and fuel for the JV mine with BHP (which would combine his many different interests).
It places him in a unique position to pull the whole deal together as, without combining his various interests, anyone else would find it much harder(if not impossible) to operate without power, roads and fuel.
So it is likely that RA will have a JV with LNC in Russia as I speculated in an imaginary bugged conversation post between PB and RA shortly after the AGM last month.
