As an honours graduate in Science ( more years ago than I care to remember), I have the greatest respect for the scientific method. However my memory of scientific experiments consisted of cobbling together some Heath - Robinson device in the lab and coming up with some data which provided the the basis for an argument to spend a bit of real money to exploit a winning idea. It seems that the WPL approach to scientific method is to spend large licks of money ( my money!!) on the base experiment, and hope to learn something. I guess it's just as well there isn't a Nobel Prize for geology - they would probably pee the whole exploration budget up against the wall doing scientific experiments.
Having got that off my chest, I guess we must just be patient and hope that Jojo is right - get the crap out of the way and now start finding some real gushers
