I tend to disagree with the sentiment of the timing of the directors selling.
How do we know he hasn't already been waiting 2 months? Remember what the SP was 2 months ago? Can't keep waiting for the next quarterly, or next ann. etc. If he needs the money for mortgage commitments he needs the money. I wouldn't look into it any further than that.
