Some of the posters here are so stuck on their views it clouds their judgment.

While I have my own views on Abbott and Turnbull as an alternative PM, I point out that the polls indicate. If the polls were only show a small difference it would be difficult to support any conclusion but when they are along the lines of 15% vs 63% it’s obvious Abbott is very unpopular. The 13% Abbott is down on as preferred PM compared to Gillard is far to big a margin to ignore.

I have asked on many occasions for the Abbott supporters to state why they think Abbott makes for a credible alternative pm and all we seem to get is extreme hatred of Gillard/labor, reference to his community work and Rhodes Scholar. The latter being the only valid point but Abbott fails to demonstrate the intelligence and articulation one would expect fro such an education.

A few of us here have been predicting abbott getting dumped around March this year for some time, I base it on what is going on in the political scene and the polls just confirm my judgement. What I would like to see is not relevant, it just happens that the indicators are consistent with what I would like to see.

I have never been an Abbott fan but 6 months ago I conceded that he could well have become PM, that is no longer such a sure thing and I think it would be quite possible that labor could win the next election if Abbott is leading the libs. For the record neither Lib’s or labor will get my vote if we have the current leaders at the next election.
