necessity is the mother of invention

Having been a previous holder I have read with interest all the posts over the past months and it's led me to pen the thread title here.

Necessity is the mother of invention?......what does it mean?

In my book it means ....."Difficult situations inspire ingenious solutions".

There have been so many well researched.....knowledgeable...and sometimes brilliant posts here I'm just plain gob smacked.

Imagine for a moment what might be achieved in the future if the people (posters) I'm talking about here were to join forces as some sort of hedge fund.

I take my hat off to some of you guys.
