It's taken hundreds of millions of years for nature to lock all that carbon away and in one hundred years we've reversed a huge part of that process and we're still accelerating the release.
To suddenly and it is very sudden, release all that stored carbon back into the system and remove much of the ability to absorb it over time, has to have serious repercussions for our atmosphere and all life.
That is simple basic logic.
It's been so easy that we've lost the incentive to find other energy sources. Making excuses not to change at this stage of our understanding is unacceptable.
