But, as a song went many years ago:"Nobody's right if everybody's wrong" (see who can name the song)
I would say this though....
1. Say the US was certain there were such weapons
2...and say they were sure they would be used in an armed conflict
3.....and lets say they give the UN or the world the heads up to where they are
4. Now let's say the act of doing so tips the Iraqis off and they move them to a new secret location ready for deployment
Given the above scenario (which I believe would have a very, very high probability of being accurate)....
When would you as a strategist reveal the info? Would you reveal it at all? Wouldnt you wait for the the most opportune and propitious time vis-s-vis your military options to do so?
Given SH record of having the weapons when the UN last left - FACT!
And he has had the industry and scientific community hard at it since - FACT!
And he has, in the past, used and threated to use the weapons - FACT!
