I asked the question as I thought I was missing something with the vibe about MEO being able to supply gas to Gove.

As Fred has pointed out the Impex gas in Darwin has been pre sold. I would have thought if Gove was in need of gas then there is a ready source of gas rather than find the required gas from a left field possible find. The amount Gove is needing would be miniscule in terms of what is being built in Darwin at present.

The Gove political football may have been initiated since the gas infrastructure being built is of rather large proportions. I once lived in Darwin and still have mates up there and they are talking about a road train every 7 minutes down the Arnhem hwy just for the material being quarried and transported to site.
