    Joenes, the words "free dig" relate to the composition of the orebody, and do not necessarily imply anything about the manner of extraction. However, the term does suggest that the rock is not well-consolidated, meaning that mine walls may need to be at a relatively gentle angle for stability

    Contrary to your claim, recent quarterlies have not made any statement or committment as to the mining methods planned, or given any estimated costs of doing so. If open pit is to be used, as you state, then a varying true width, averaging 25 metres (as at Campoona Shaft), or averaging 10 metres (as at Campoona Central), will certainly require removal of substantial amounts of waste rock. Safe mining demands stable walls, with stable benches. This is not new, or difficult, but it does not come free, either. We do need to see some sort of cost estimates to understand where Campoona is going to sit on the cost curve, relative to its competitors.
