I have been posting a bit on the AOH threads and have been asking them why their recovery rate on NCU is only 60% -posrer Mic134 asked this question and I dont know the answer -can anyone here enlighten us ?
"Has there been reference to the, "lock up in crystal lattice of biotite mica", in the CDU metallurgy reports"
Regarding the metallurgy of the native copper ores of AOH and CDU. From http://www.rcresearch.com.au/pdf/URL_Company_Review_29102009.pdf
"Metallurgy: Roseby is a ‘non conventional’ resource due to ~70% of current reserves being nonsulphide native copper mineralisation. Whilst native copper floats very well, PFS and DFS testwork has confirmed it exhibits lower recoveries (~60%) compared to the sulphide deposits (~96%) due to ~30% of copper locked in the crystal lattice of biotite mica."
