The .65 on that heady day on 6 April 2010, where 56 million shares changed hands, with the SP jumping from .30 to .65, lasted exactly 5 minutes and the price settled back down to .32 that day and just kept going down and down and down from then on.

It might have been "orgasmic" for some, but, frankly, IMO, more than anything else, that incident, that moment of hysteria, has caused this company more angst and distrust than anything else since its inception.

In fact, not long after, the AFR printed a full page story from a disgruntled "investor" who obviously let his testosterone take over his brain and bought at .65, where that person blatantly, unequivocally, in print, accused Ray James of being a fraudster, claiming that the GSA was a rort.

It was printed by the AFR and despite many requests from some of us, Ray refused to sue the AFR for libel saying that it would blow over. Sadly, I don't think that it has ever blown over and Icon's reputation has never recovered.

Icon was the laughing stock of the brokers and, for months, this forum had a field day from the sceptics, some who still post!!!
I was recovering from radiotherapy at the time and it literally nearly killed me trying to defend the company against that criticism.
Ah, yes, Bliss, I remember it only too well. ($32 billion, they haven't even got enough gas for a barbeque LOL!!)
    It hurt, big time.

IMO, that is a major factor why our SP is still where it is, lack of credibility, and it will take positive results from Halifax-1 to get some back.

I keep saying that we are fortunate that we have BPT as a major partner and operator, where that company will undoubtedly provide the respect and credibility that we alone probably would not get. "Losing" that 40% of 855 to Beach will be the best "loss" any company will ever have.

It has been a long hard road back, but, IMO, re-payment day is close.
