OK, I don't get it.
"(Phys.org)—Researchers at MIT have created several new types of ceramics that all demonstrate a high degree of liquid repellency. '
Great story, but do any of you have a clue as to how long a research project takes to come to market? This can be 3-15 years, and longer. And many never make it for one reason or another.
LYC may be worth holding, and RE may have a great future, but at the pace that Materials Science is moving there is just as much chance of a new materiel being found to work as well if not better.
You should not be holding LYC based on any university research paper - IMO. What can be achieved in the lab is not necessarily scalable, and then at a commercial cost.
Wishful thinking. Nice story all the same.
