If her press conference is anything to go by then she will struggle at this level of Government. Even Michelle Grattan wrote how she was nervous to the point of incompetence.

Today she should have been out telling Northern Territorians and Australians about her values and beliefs. But the ALP minders are hiding her from scrutiny now. No interviews allowed. Surprising really.

As usual, Gillard went for the headline without the substance to back it up.

I like many of Labor's policies. I would like them more if they fixed up the inequality between the 'shirkers' pension and single parent's pension, the MRRT, the Carbon Tax, Border Protection, NBN,....oh maybe they don't have much to offer after all......hehe.

Anyway, this is tokenism and pure theatre. Peris is offering nothing other than the colour of her skin which Gillard is abusing for her own political aims. She is using Peris, pure and simple.

The ALP Senate Seat is guaranteed no matter who Gillard puts up. This, I believe, is to help also win a marginal NT House of Reps Seat.

Shameful.
