Not reaching a target in time does not make the target unreasonable.

How’s this for an inefficient market.

Linc energy 52c low in Nov 2012.
Then they remind the market about the Adanis royalty (no income from that till at least 2016 and not at full earnings until 2022).
No news there that was any different from what was already known while the stock fell from 3.20 to 52c.
By 12 dec it hit a high of $1.32 on that "news".
Some follow up news on oil production increases and in less than 3 months it rose to $2.20 yesterday.
Quadrupled in 3 months on not much more than a reminder of future earnings and oil production update.
Some amazing public relations results there.
Despite that incredible run, today it jumped a further 30% on unrisked shale oil potential in SA being confirmed by external consultants.
That is unrisked potential oil, yet to be assed by drilling.
Wouldn’t you hate to have walked away from that one near the lows?

Hypothetical question for you Fmx.
If I had a $1 target by Nov 2012 for LNC but missed it by a long shot, yet it hit $2.87 i.e. nearly triple the target just 3 months later, was the $1 target unreasonable just because it was out by just one month?
Even if it was out by 6 months before getting swamped with a $2.87 peak, was $1 an unreasonable target for 6 months earlier?
