you're kidding right? The only difference between the Global Fund and the Flagship Fund is the weighting of a particular investment each fund holds. Ie. They're both keen on Tesco, Visa, Lowe's, McDonalds, YUM, etc but by a varying degree. Chris and Hamish sit on the same committee to decide which companies to invest in for both the funds.
I notice that their group of analysts are rich in Honours level graduates. That's a lot better than the CBA equities research team who I'm convinced employ high school dropouts. Personally, I reckon they should look at employing PhD cadidates on a casual basis, half the cost AND the quality of work is much better; and for tougher assignments, look at postdoctoral students, same cost but the quality of work is immeasurably better.

I implied the MFG investment style was plain/conservative/proven and it appears you agree. But it doesn't get you much recognition from your peers. And as lordolean correctly points out, you'll have your periods of outperformance and underperformace depending on what the mass of investors are doing at the time. Look at some of the work Bill Ackman's done recently, you gotta stick your head out from the crowd.
