Thanks kdropper, a very nice quick summary there.

I would probable add two things, the 2nd of which goes largely unnoticed but could turn into some very nice cash flow if given the go ahead.

Firstly that LNC is in the final stages of licensing a UCG trial plant in Wyoming for which it will operate for a period of time, around 3 months and then it will be shut down and environmental impact studies will be carried out over 12 mths.

All going well, then we may see UCG in Powder River where Linc has some extensive holdings.

The other which as I said goes largely unnoticed with the focus on Umiat, is in Alaska, Cooke Inlet. There is extensive coal seam there which is suitable to UCG. Alaska is short of natural gas and generally pay a premium. The Cooke Inlet is only a few miles from their power station. If that goes ahead that UCG gas can be piped directly (and importantly cheaply) to the Beluga power plant.

All in all Linc has some amazing projects on the cusp of fruition. However one must stress 'On the cusp'. The market these days does not react generally until a 'deal is done'. Speculation of getting close or on the cusp rarely counts.

The recent Arckaringa announcement has generated much interest, but one should be aware there is a ways to go there to define exactly what is recoverable. It is suggested that around 3 million acres are within the sweet spot. That is enormous in itself and only a small portion of the area of interest, so there may be more sweet spot areas in the future. That however is a speculation for another day.

Once a JV with expertise and deep pockets is found then we may still be looking at a couple of years whilst they define the recoverable estimates. Time is basically dependent on how much and/or how many man hours and equipment they throw at this. On the upside even the lowest estimates are of extraordinary value.

2013 for Linc may turn out to be more than very interesting
for Linc. It may well turn out that even the present SP is low should a few of their 'on the cusp' projects move over the line.

IMO my main point being, that unless your a competent day or short term trader, the real value in Linc will be over time. There is enough mining and oil projects to keep Linc busy over the next 2-7 years.

UCG results of course may be much quicker once underway. Current estimates place a potential UCG project may be up and running six months after location and engineering studies have been completed.

For myself I estimate that given a year or so after the first few are up, running and cost/production analysis is readably available to other potential customers, then UCG and/or GTL may expand exponentially.

In short, understand nothing is going to happen overnight, DYOR (which may take some time due to the extensive projects at Linc as described by kdropper) have a look at the last AGM and a few of the latest quarterly activities releases.

Exciting times now and ahead, good luck with your own decisions, cheers.
