da_whippet, the longer it takes for some finalisation on Mt Bevan the more uneasy I get. If Lcy were able in some way to block further investment by the Chinese it would imo weaken haws' position in further negotiations on Mt Bevan.
I agree with you that there has been no indication by Lcy
that this will happen, but in the past it seems that neither Lcy or Haw have been doing any favours for one or other.
Anyway this part of the conjecture will end tomorrow.
By finalisation on Mt Bevan I don't necessarily mean that it will end in Lcy acquiring the final 40%, it could mean
that both lcy and haw both agree to put things on hold for a time, or it could mean that Haw through their Chinese partners decide to take over Lcys' 60%.
