golden,
You are only the 3rd person in my entire life that I know likes figs, although I must admit the subject is rarely discussed in conversations.
My mother grew most fruits and vegetables on our farm when I was young. The only two things I disliked were figs and artichokes.
I have to admit I have never returned to taste the figs, just in case I may change my mind.
I have tasted artichokes, but they do nothing for me.
I do not mind brussels sprouts or broad beans if they are served in a dish today. I do not cook them myself.
I have 4 pomegranates growing on the tree that I planted to entice the Superb Blue Wren into my garden. Unfortunately the wren has not returned. I may have to taste the Pomegranate to see if I may like it, or look for some recipes.
cheers
