I agree with you that it would be irrelevant where the Gold was held and that only proof that the correct amount of Gold was held by a strong central bank such as that of Germany to immediately cover any loan.

Strange that someone would say that Gold is of little value or importance in the current financial world and also that where it is stored is important for it to be used as immediate collateral. I wonder witch I am supposed to believe is Gold just a meaningless barbaric relic in our modern paper promise full faith and credit system or is it a very valuable strategic reserve.

What possible harm could be done to the current worldwide finical system if this useless barbarous relic of a yellow rock is moved from a hole in the ground in New York to another hole in the ground in Germany?

Me-Thinks a few people around here are starting to have to admit that Gold is going to be of great importance in the coming years.

Also if one had a choice of leaving some valuable item at an institution with the thought of one day using it as collateral for a loan would you store it with a spendthrift outfit looking very close to bankruptcy or would you prefer to leave it with some trustworthy organisation.

Germany may say should I leave my Gold with the USA (Dodgy spendthrift drunken sailor lookalike) or say Switzerland (safe respected financial history.) Or think why take any risk at all with our revered reserves that have no counter party risks at all and store them at home.

Its hardy rocket science in a worldwide currency war race to the bottom at least I don’t think it is but what would I know just some sap that increased his net worth fivefold over the last ten years with physical Gold!

Hey! Timber I really do like that jacket is it new, it looks like Wolf fur! I wonder if it will stop you being fleeced in your paper promise Full Faith and Credit system failure coming soon to a suburb near you!
